¶ And what man is there that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not [a]eaten of the fruit? let him go to return again unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another eat the fruit.

And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return again unto his house, lest he die in battle, and another man take her.

And let the officers speak further unto the people, and say, (A)Whosoever is afraid and faint hearted, let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren’s heart faint like his heart.
